Care Plan Policy
Your Website Care Plan
We want to make it easy for you to understand how our Website Care Plan works, so here’s the important stuff in plain English:
- Your monthly support time doesn’t roll over, but if you haven’t been using much and then need a little extra support one month, we’ll do our best to help.
- No contracts, just give us 30 days’ notice if you want to cancel. If we host your site, this helps you move it smoothly.
- We keep an eye on your site security, but keeping your devices secure and using strong passwords goes a long way.
- We take care of hosting, backups, updates, and security scans. If you host elsewhere, we’ll help where we can, but results might vary.
- We’ll cover some premium plugins and themes as part of your care plan, and we’ll let you know if there are ones you should be paying for.
- If you, your team, or third parties like SEO folks work on your site, we’re not responsible for their work, but we’ll do our best to fix things if something goes wrong.
- We aim to keep your site running well, but we can’t promise perfect uptime or that third-party software won’t cause issues.
In a nutshell: if something goes wrong or you need support with your website, let us known and we’ll do our best to help.
Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the website care and maintenance services (“Services”) provided by Brett Worth trading as Worth it Media (“we,” “us,” “our”) to you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”). By subscribing to or continuing to use our Services, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement. Our contact details are on our website at worthitmedia.co.uk.
2. Services Provided
We include hosting, daily backups, daily security scans, and weekly software updates (sometimes delayed for testing), alongside a monthly allocation of support hours depending on your chosen plan. Unused support time does not carry over. Hosting is provided via Flywheel, a market-leading WordPress hosting provider known for strong security, reliability, and performance. Details about Flywheel’s service can be found at getflywheel.com.
If you use your own hosting provider, we will do our best to assist with hosting-related issues; however, results and response times may vary. Time spent dealing with your own hosting provider will be taken from your allocated monthly support time, and any further work may be billed at our current hourly rate.
3. Client Responsibilities in Website Security
While we apply robust WordPress security measures to your website, studies show one common way hackers gain access is through compromised computers used to log into the site. You agree to protect any device used to access your website by:
- Installing and regularly updating reputable security software;
- Using an up-to-date version of your preferred web browser;
- Keeping your operating system and other installed software fully patched;
- Choosing and maintaining strong, unique passwords for all accounts with access to the website. We strongly recommend using a password manager to create and store complex passwords unique to each service you use.
4. Third-Party Services
From time to time, you may work with third parties such as SEO specialists, social media managers, content writers, or developers who make changes to your website. We cannot be held responsible for any issues or work performed by such third parties. If our services are required to fix or manage problems caused by third-party work, these will be billed at our standard hourly support rate.
5. Premium Themes and Plugins
Many WordPress sites use premium themes and plugins that require ongoing licenses for updates and support. Worth it Media holds licenses for several commonly used plugins and themes, and the costs for these are included in your plan while you remain a subscriber.
If you use premium themes or plugins for which we do not hold licenses, maintaining those licenses and ensuring timely updates is your responsibility. We will advise you about necessary licenses and assist where possible. Worth it Media cannot be held liable for issues, including hacks, loss of functionality, or compatibility problems caused by unlicensed or out-of-date premium software.
6. Payment and Cancellation
Our Website Care Plans are billed monthly, with options for quarterly or annual payments. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, Stripe, and PayPal. A minimum contract term does not apply, but 30 days’ written notice is required for cancellations. Refunds are not provided for work already delivered, except where UK/EU consumer law grants a statutory cooling-off period of 14 days.
7. Liability and Limitations
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care, but do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the previous three months. We expressly exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, data loss, or issues caused by third-party software or hosting providers. Email issues and domain management remain your responsibility.
8. Governing Law and Entire Agreement
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and constitutes the entire agreement between us. Changes must be in writing.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Worth it Media, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our Services, your violation of this Agreement, or your infringement of any rights of third parties.
10. Contact
